GENERAL CONTRIBUTOR GUIDELINES

You must be 18 or older to participate in this zine.🌼The Song of Birds and Flowers (SoBF) is a BKDKBK nature zine. This means the focus of your pieces should be the romantic relationship between Bakugou Katsuki and Midoriya Izuku within a nature theme. Other characters may appear, but the focus should remain on BKDKBK. Polyamorous relationships are not allowed.🌼You may not share any screenshots, WIPs, concepts, or discussions from the zine or Discord server.🌼All contributors are expected to create brand new works which are relevant to the themes of SoBF.🌼All contributors will be expected to submit their work for feedback. By accepting the invitation, you are agreeing to work with the mod team when it comes time to edit and finalize.🌼As this zine is SFW, suggestive themes are not allowed beyond a PG-13/canon-compliant level. This is not a moral judgment. No creator will be penalized for any content they create outside the zine.🌼No form of bigotry (racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.) will not be tolerated. Support of Zionism or other mistreatment towards Palestine and its people will also not be tolerated. Reminder: Zionism is not the same as Judaism. Antisemitism towards Jewish people will not be tolerated either.🌼Please don't attempt to start or join any political debates in the zine chats.🌼Submissions may include elements or themes related to Palestine but must be approved by the mods. Conflict-oriented or provocative elements/themes are not allowed.🌼You may be asked to change elements of the work if it is deemed potentially insensitive or not appropriate to the themes of this zine.🌼AI-generated content (writing, page art, or merch art) is strictly forbidden.🌼If you are invited to participate but wish to remain anonymous, please discuss this with the mods so we can figure out a solution!

WRITER GUIDELINES

🌼Writers are expected to create one completed work between 2,000 and 3,000 words.🌼Writers are expected to pitch 2-3 ideas for the mod team to decide between.🌼Writers are expected to create a piece which fits the theme. The work should be related to nature in some way and feature BKDKBK as the focus.🌼Writers must adhere to the style guide for consistency's sake. If you have any questions or concerns, please just ask a mod!🌼Writers must share their works as Google Docs with the permissions set to allow suggestions for check-ins.

PAGE ARTIST GUIDELINES

🌼Page artists are expected to create the equivalent of 2 full pages of art, which can be implemented however the artist sees fit. This can include a 2-page comic, 2 individual pages, a 2-page spread, 1 individual page and 2 spot arts in collaboration with a writer, etc. Feel free to reach out to a mod if you have any questions!🌼Page artists are expected to pitch 2-3 ideas for the mod team to decide between.🌼Page artists are expected to create a piece which fits the theme. The work should be related to nature in some way and feature BKDKBK as the focus.🌼Page artists are expected to conform to a A5 300 dpi template, color profile RGB.

MERCH ARTIST GUIDELINES

🌼Each merch artist will be expected to create one digital merch piece with the option to create a second.🌼Merch artists are expected to submit 2-3 pitches per merch item for the mod team to decide between.🌼Merch artists are expected to create SFW merch.🌼Specifications for each merch item will be provided upon joining the server.
